The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet by Sony Mobile Communications

Disclosure:   As member of a pretty cool team of influencers, I received the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with line of service from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise positive feedback. All opinions are my own.

The new Sony Xperia Z2 tablet is on the market, and it’s like none other. Made by the Sony Mobile Communications division, this is one of the most advanced tablets on the market. I received my tablet a few weeks ago, and I like it so much I have enough material for two posts! In this first post I’ll go into detail about the things that make it so great, and in the second post I’ll use some demonstrations.

Lots of companies claim their products are waterproof, but their devices actually shut off when then encounter water. To me, that’s not water proof, but water resistant. This one doesn’t. Take it in the pool with you and give it a try, it functions under the water (I’ve tried it, but more on that in the second post)! This also means it is humidity resistant, and I’ve used it to listen to music in the shower. Water at a restaraunt spills on it, no big deal. Snow, no problem, rain no problem. I haven’t had any of those issues with this tablet yet, but I’ve done all of those things on accident to other mobile devices.

Water proof also helps in a way you probably haven’t thought of yet. Mobile devices are the dirtiest things we touch daily. Most devices have no way of really cleaning them, because you don’t want to get them wet. This tablet can be cleaned. The device is sealed and the battery can’t be removed which is a good thing because that is what makes it water proof. It’s the lightest, slimest tablet on the market. Less than a 1/4 inch thick, thinner than the ipad air. Weighs less than a pound, and can be held with two fingers.

Entertainment is huge for me. For the first time I’ve been introduced to Sony’s library. They have one of the largest content libraies on the market today, I had no idea. It was hard for me to believe, but it’s even larger than itunes. Netflix, Hulu, and Google Play all work, and work very well. It’s Android powered, so it works with almost anything. If you have Sony TV, it mirrors effortlessly. If you have another TV it will work, but must me connected via Wi-Fi on the TV.

I’ve been an Apple fan for a long time. In my case, that meant I was moving from an iPad. I’m always worried about transfering off of iOS, but this process was seamless. I used the Xperia transfer app to move my content to my new tablet. Big iTunes library, no problem. Internal 32GB memory. Three to four movies can be stored without worrying about space. It also has expandable storage, which is a must for me.

The smart social camera is incredible. It allows me to use augmented reality to add things to the pictures. The most valuable photo feature to me is the multi-shot tech. In sports or music, you don’t miss a thing taking key action shots. I’m hooked on photo taking, and have been the owner of a Sony Cybershot in the past, so I’m very happy with the camera.

I also run a small business, so productivity software is important to me. The Xperia tablet comes with business suite software worth $300! As well as military grade encryption to help keep your private information safe.

Imagine getting a 4K tv, a cypershot camera, and a playstation all in one. The technology on this tablet is the same tech that is in all of those products, all wrapped into one. That is what makes this tablet special. The only way to put it is, this tablet is the ultimate experience.

With this device being connected to the Verizon 4G LTE network, you are always on. Tablet is exclusive to Verizon. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet by Sony Mobile Communications. Of the many Sony companies, this one is on the rise. Follow them on twitter @SonyXperiaUS, and look for my next post on this tablet in two weeks! Thanks for reading. 🙂
